This extraordinary 45ft offshore RIB is one of New Zealand’s most recognised high-performance vessels, combining proven offshore capability, commercial reliability, and a remarkable record-setting history.

Originally purpose-built for the Trans-Tasman challenge, Buckle Up holds the record for the fastest crossing from the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Auckland Harbour Bridge in just 40 hours. She also claimed the New Zealand circumnavigation record in an incredible 67 hours, cementing her place in maritime history.

Built for serious offshore work, she has since operated in commercial survey and supported world-class events including the America’s Cup, SailGP, and film productions.

Powered by twin Volvo D6 diesel engines coupled to stern drives, she delivers a comfortable 36-knot cruise speed and a top speed of approximately 42 knots. Her 4,000-litre fuel capacity provides exceptional range for long passages, commercial work, or adventure cruising.
